Does the soul have a gender?

But if one shall take it from the beginning maybe one first shall ask:
– Have humans got a soul?

This question can very easily divide people into two different groups, the ones who think we have a soul and the ones who think that we only are a body. If you believe in the one or other often reflects which personal experiences one have had in life.

Thought i therefore should mention the clearest personal experience that I have had and which influences how I think…
It was one night when I and my wife was sitting and watching TV. I really don’t remember which TV program it was but this is irrelevant in this case. All the suddenly without reason or connection to what we were watching at I felt a shiver in my body. At the same time Anna jumped to beside of me and gave up an undefinable sound. She then said:
– It was grandpa. He said, Good bye Anna.
To the story it belongs that he had been sick for a while and was staying at a hospital. Anna called her mother and got to know that grandpa had passed away…

This undoubtedly makes one to think and ponder, at least it made me, and it becomes rather many thoughts that bounce back and forth. It can also be that how good one perceive  these kind of actions can be connected to how strong and close relation or connection one have had and how receptive one is at the moment.

Some people can feel this as unknown and frightening that there can be a lot of souls that is floating around after that they have died. Personally I think this feels calming and safe but everything is dependent of how one interprets the situation.

But if one suppose that the meaning of life is to get experiences and develop and reach a goal. Isn’t it then logical that a soul learns more things through different genders? It would therefore be limiting if the soul only had one gender and only could take one shape on earth.

But what is important is not what I think or write about this but rather what you think? All people are on a journey through life with their bodies and are also on an inner journey with their souls… If one believes in that. If one doesn’t believe in this, an inner development journey can at least make a person developing and treat their fellows in a better way.

But to be really honest it doesn’t matter if one believe that we have a soul or not.  It doesn’t either matter if one believes that the soul has a gender or not. However, what does matter, here and now, is how one lives one’s life and treat ones fellows. Of course can a belief in either one influence how one treat one’s fellows. But a belief in either one doesn’t automatically lead to how one treats ones fellows.

If you want to read about the inner journey I have made during thirty years, you can read about it in an e-poem collection, but it's only available in Swedish.
